Opening hours

What are your opening hours?

We open in November 2026, and we’ll share the date here as soon as it’s confirmed. Once we’re open, our hours are:

  • Monday – Wednesday8am to 11pm
  • Thursday – Saturday8am to 11pm
  • Sunday8am to 10.30pm

The kitchens serve from 10am until 9.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 10pm Thursday to Saturday and 9pm on Sundays.

Are you open on bank holidays?

Usually, yes. Our hours can change on bank holidays, so check our Instagram before you head over.

Are your hours different over Christmas?

Usually, yes. We’ll share our Christmas opening times on our Christmas page and on Instagram nearer the time.

Visiting

Do I need to book?

No, we’re a walk-in food hall, so just come along. Groups of ten or more can book a table ahead, and we take private and corporate hire too.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are always welcome. Our pet-friendly policy stops at dogs, we’re afraid.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely. Children are welcome until 9pm, as long as they’re with a parent or guardian. There’s a play area for the little ones too.

Can I pay with cash?

We’re card only, at every kitchen and at the bar, so you can leave the cash at home.

Can I bring my bike inside?

As much as we like a smooth ride, bikes need to stay outside. You’re welcome to lock yours up nearby, though we can’t accept liability for bikes left there.

Is there parking?

We don’t have our own car park, so please use one of the public car parks nearby, or better still, come by public transport. Elephant & Castle has a Tube station (Northern and Bakerloo lines), a train station and plenty of buses.

Food and drink

Where can I see your menus?

Our Food Partners change their menus to keep things fresh, so the best place to see what’s cooking is at each kitchen in the food hall. For a taste before you visit, meet our Food Partners.

Do you have halal, gluten-free or vegan options?

Yes, plenty of our kitchens do, and every one of them can talk you through allergens before you order.

Bookings and events

Can I hire the space privately?

Yes, for birthdays, team socials and corporate events. Email hello@theelephantexchange.co.uk to start planning.

What events do you have?

Something for all ages, from pop-ups to themed nights. Follow us on Instagram to see what’s coming up.

Can I still come if an event is sold out?

You won’t be able to join the event itself, but the food hall carries on as normal during events, so you’re always welcome to come and eat.

Everything else

I’ve lost something. What do I do?

Email hello@theelephantexchange.co.uk or ask at the bar. We keep lost property for two weeks.

Can my food business become a Food Partner?

We’re always on the lookout for independent chefs and street food traders with something special to bring to the table. Download our Food Partner pack and apply on our Become a Food Partner page.

Still got a question?
