Welcome to The Elephant Exchange, proudly powered by Blend Family. We’re more than a food hall. We’re a gathering place where creativity, community and culinary talent collide.

At Blend Family, we believe in crafting unforgettable food experiences that celebrate the brilliance of independent chefs, makers and dreamers. That means giving independent kitchens a place to grow, and giving everyone else somewhere to eat, drink and stay a while. Simple as that.

Where it started

The Milestone

Sheffield’s first gastro pub, opened by founders Matt Bigland and Nina Patel-Bigland. Good food, good company and a proper welcome.

November 2018

Cutlery Works

Sheffield’s first food hall, bringing independent kitchens together under one roof. Still the OG, and the blueprint for every food hall that’s followed.

Since then

Across the UK

Cambridge Street Collective in Sheffield, Kargo MKT in Salford Quays, Tower Bridge Collective in London and Alfred Works in Birmingham. Platforms, not just kitchens.

The Elephant Exchange

The next chapter, right here in Elephant & Castle, with fourteen independent kitchens, a proper bar and a buzzing hub for food and community.

Quick bites, long nights and everything in between

Global cuisines with local soul, hidden gems, new favourites and somewhere to sit for as long as you like. Fourteen independent kitchens, a proper bar and coffee from first thing, all under one roof. Order from as many kitchens as you like and share the lot. Bring the kids, bring the dog, bring the whole office. There’s room for everyone, from the first flat white to last orders.
